This was just what we required after few days on Safari. It was peaceful and quiet, which was perfect for us.

Pros: The nuns were all very welcoming and even gave us a tour around their garden. The food was excellent and all home grown. The location was quiet and peaceful.

Cons: As expected, the facilities were basic but very much suited our purposes.

Very affordable and homely with picturesque and convenient location serving delicious food!

Pros: The stay at St. Catherine's Monastery was absolutely perfect. They are run by sisters who are very very polite and helpful. Located just outside the main gate of Ngorongoro and is serene place, with farms surrounding it. The gardens inside and outside is quite picturesque. We were doing an evening and morning walk of the surrounding areas, small hillocks, farms and gardens made it quite breathtaking. The rooms are not extravagant but for relaxing it's quite ideal. The food is absolutely delicious as it's sourced straight from their garden and they gave us so much. We were always very very full. Lovely place, absolute value for money, will visit again.

Cons: If I have to be really nit-picky. I guess, the rooms could be upgraded to something more modern. That being said, it's not really a deal breaker as this is a stay in a church and monastery and adds to that experience and with the prices, it's an absolute bang for buck.

An oasis of calm and warm smiles

Pros: The welcome was wonderful. Sr. Noella and all the sisters greeted us with warm smiles, and they were kind and courteous hosts. Johnson at reception was very accommodating with our request to chill our camping food. The entire area was tranquil, and literally a stones throw from the Ngorongoro gate.

Cons: All was great

Sehr freundliche Nonnen

Pros: Die Klosteranlage ist sehr schön und die Nonnen sehr freundlich.

Una experiencia hermosa e inolvidable

Pros: El personal fue maravilloso! Las Hermanas muy cálidas, atentas, muy preocupadas porque no te falte nada. Todo estaba impecable! El lugar es maravilloso! Los jardines eran preciosos! Está ubicado en una colina hermosa al lado de la puerta principal del parque Ngorongoro. En la recepción te ofrecen safaris excelentes y a buen precio.

Pros: Невероятное место! Настоящий действующий монастырь! Очень круто! О ужин и завтрак были восхитительны! мы не успевали столько есть. столько заносили в зал новых блюд! Обед оформляют в ланч боксы - очень удобно, чтобы поесть в Серенгетти. Персонал - восхитительный! мы даже были на мессе и сделали несколько совместных фото

Cons: Сан узел. Это женский монастырь и здесь, наверное, не хватает мужчин. Нужно починить слив в душе и в унитазе.
