A place with a soul and a legendary host

Pros: Kilimanjaro Country House isn't just a place to sleep; it’s a home with a soul. Mr. Lyimo is a remarkable man – deeply intelligent, kind, and a wonderful storyteller. Even though he manages everything with a quiet dignity, he makes you feel like an old friend from the moment you arrive. He looked after my belongings like they were his own while I was on the mountain and shared his time and home with me for a truly memorable dinner. You won't find this kind of genuine, human connection in big hotels. If you value authenticity and want to meet one of the most interesting people in Tanzania, stay here. Thank you, Mr. Lyimo, for your hospitality and for opening your home to me.

Pros: We felt very comfortable during the week we spent at Lyimos Guesthouse. Theo's warm and very personal care was exceptional. We could always use his taxi services for various visits to schools in the area. The fact that he also took us shopping at the market and asked for special requests gave us a familiar feeling. The offer to use the kitchen, where the delicious food was prepared, also contributed to this. This great accommodation and the stimulating long conversations with Theo will remain in our memories for a long time.

Excellent Value For Money

Pros: Theo is the most wonderful host, always aiming to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. This is a personalised and genuine service from the heart that you won't get in any hotel. He makes a marvellous breakfast, and the evening meals are delicious, but more importantly, he is always available to guide and help with any issues you may have. My room was spacious, clean and tidy, and the quality and specification of my room were higher than the Stella Maris hotel nearby. The room lacked air conditioning, but this was more than made up with an effective fan. I stayed here a few days before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. It is highly recommended.

Pros: 크고 깨끗한 방, 친절한 주인의 접대, 욕조가 있는 큰 욕실, 응접실도 넓고 편안했습니다. 주인은 Lyimo님은 손님이 편안하게 머물 수 있도록 최선을 다해주었어요. 저는 4일간 사파리 투어를 마치고 케어받으며 휴식을 취하고 싶어 이 숙소를 선택했고 좋은 선택이었습니다. 또한 넓고 깨끗한 공용주방도 자유롭게 이용 가능했습니다. 마지막으로 데이트립 조율도 Lyimo의 도움으로 잘할 수 있었어요. 너무 편안한 휴식이었습니다.
