The Lion King Homestay

Pros: We had an amazing stay at Lion Kings Homestay. We even got upgraded for free to a bigger room. The staff is gorgeous and very helpful, gave good recommendations and prepared an amazing breakfast. We even extended our stay there. The facilities were as described and spotless clean. The check-in and -out were flexible, even though we booked spontaneously and arrived in the evening. The location was quiet and easy reachable with bajaji, Sophia the housekeeper can organise for you if needed. I highly recommend and will stay there again.

Pros: If you want to feel at Home came to the Lion King Homestay, located in a very quiet area just outside the center of Moshi. Sophia and her wonderful location Will win You over, the impeccably furnished house, the courtesy, the super good breakfast and the greenery of the courtyard are the jewel in the crown. Pros: We had the most exceptional stay at Lion King Homestay. From the moment we arrived we felt more like friends & family rather than guests. The guesthouse is in a quiet part of Moshi and (besides the bedrroms) offers a garden, patio, kitchen, and living room. Every detail of the house is very much thought-through, the entire guesthouse is well kept-after and super clean. However, the best part are the owner (who was visiting from Australia when we were there) as well as staff. The service is out of this world (thanks for all the food and drinks provided!!), they always have an open ear and when my friend got sick they even took us to the dentist in the morning and the hospital during the night (just to get up again after 4 hours of sleep....). The owner is also engaged in several NGO initiatives in Tanzania (Moshi area) and really supports the people living there! I can only say THANK YOU again for everything you have done!

Beautiful location to kick back and relax at pre- and post-Kilimanjaro.

Pros: Sophia is an amazing chef and warm hostess. Every breakfast/dinner was delicious and she obliged every request. Along with Anthony, the two of them made the homestay experience exceptionally comfortable.

Pros: Super séjour chez Sophia. Elle a été aux petits soins avec nous. Nous nous sommes vraiment senties comme à la maison. C’est un endroit chaleureux et très calme. Sophia et Anthon sont très serviables, ils ont été récupérés mon bagage à l’aéroport. Vraiment nous recommandons ce lieu. Un grand merci !

Echt een aanrader.

Pros: De eigenaren zijn ontzetten vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze brachten ons naar het restaurant en naar de bus. De tuin is heerlijk om even in af te koelen. Ook het ontbijt is lekker en uitgebreid.

Gastvrij en goede service!

Pros: Het ontbijt was prima. Het inwonend personeel was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Sophia in huis en Anthony voor bijv. vervoer. De inrichting was erg sfeervol! Het is rustig gelegen (geen lawaai van auto's) met een mooie tuin. Je voelt je hier absoluut thuis!

Cons: Tja, de haan kraait nogal veel. Ze hebben ook hun eigen kippen (en dus biologische eitjes bij het ontbijt), en daar hoort natuurlijk een haan bij. En het was warm, airconditioning zou fijn zijn, maar dat verwacht ik ook niet voor deze aantrekkelijke prijs.

Pros: De vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer en de gezellige nette kamer

Cons: Minder praktisch is de douche op het toilet, maar wel functioneel
