Kizumba House

Pros: The location was amazing right in the center. Camilla at the reception is fantastic so is her sister at the bar/restaurant. The room was spacious, clean and the bed really comfortable. The property itself is really beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay there

Pros: The rooms were cozy and very clean. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. Nice breakfast included. The garden is a very secluded and beautiful place where it is nice and quiet. Location of the guesthouse is perfect for when you are visiting Arusha.

Cons: Nothing.

I was well taken care by everyone there that’s what makes the difference to me.

Pros: The staff is amazing, so kind so helpful all of them, a big thank to Camila and Inocente. I wish I will have nice people like them every where I travel away from home.

Cons: It could have more light , but the garden is nice and brings shade so it compensates for me.

Pros: It’s really good value for the money. The staff is friendly (except the breakfast lady, but she’s probably just quiet). There is hot water, you just have to flip the switch and wait a minute. Breakfast is good. Fyi you have to pay there in cash or card (with 3% surcharge) even if you’re booking says you’ll be charged via booking.com you won’t be. Nets over the beds, but I didn’t see any mosquitos anyway. Nets in front of the windows as well. Beautiful surroundings, you can’t hear the traffic. The restaurant has quite a big menu as well, something for everyone if you don’t want to go out.

Cons: The shower pressure is nonexistent and there is a bad smell in bathroom. It is quite hot in the room, because there’s small windows only. You can do laundry there but it seemed unreasonably expensive.

Worth remembering and definitely worth revisiting

Pros: The property was easy to access and safe to be at. The restaurant and bar with outdoor sections to get comfy. Special thanks to Damian, Vanessa, Innocent and the two ladies in charge of room keeping for their kindness, support and interesting interactions. Arusha has a space in my heart because of Kizumba House.

Pros: The staff is great. Thanks Inocence and the Angelas were very nice and helpful. The hostel is beautiful and clean. The beds are confortable, have nets and were very warm. The restaurant has good food.

Peaceful, green and great value, with a few details to improve

Pros: Kizumba House is a little oasis of calm and greenery, surprisingly peaceful despite being in a central area of Arusha. The garden is beautiful, perfect for relaxing before or after a safari. Our room was clean and simple, with good mosquito nets and warm water in our private bathroom. Overall, this is good value for money.

Cons: There was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, likely due to old plumbing and fixtures which could use some renovation. The room had a lot of humidity during our stay. Also, the front door had a significant gap underneath, we ended up blocking it with our suitcase to avoid any \

Comfortable and clean on a budget

Pros: Well located hostel in the centre of Arusha, off a main room. Large-ish attached cafe, and some nice common areas to hang out. Dorms were clean with good mosquito nets, and decent attached bathrooms. Simple & nice stay, on a budget.
