Pros: The staff at Meru Mbega lodge are absolutely amazing - Teresa was so helpful and we felt well looked after. They organised a game drive to Tarangire and Arusha national park for us - both great. Food at the restaurant is great and good prices. The pool, garden area and look out tower are all perfect for the stay

Cons: The rooms are a bit dated now (loads of character but it does mean some of the facilities don’t work as well as they may have once before).

Pros: Very friendly staff, thank you Theresa. Thank you Godwill for the very interesting walk through the nearby forest. Airport pick up available any time.

Lovely! Will be back!

Pros: I loved the stay at Meru Mbega - the location is excellent! It's a beautiful slightly older property that has a beautiful aesthetic of mossy beauty close to the park's edge. If you're looking for a rustic, classic location, this is the spot! The nighttimes are quiet and dark and beautiful.

Cons: If you're differently abled it may be difficult to get to and from the rooms, and if you're looking for something ultramodern -- not the spot. But I loved that aspect of it!

Pros: Great Lodge on the edge of Arusha National Park. Teresa and Goodwill are absolutely lovely hosts. They did everything to welcome us and treat us. We arrived very late on the first night and this was not a problem. They arranged a 1 day safari into Arusha Park at the last minute, which was brilliant.. And the food, fruit and homemade breakfast and juices were delicious.

Cons: A bit chilly in the winter months, but we got enough covers and blankets, so all goos

Great Experience, would return again just at a different time of the year.

Pros: Amazing staff that couldn’t do enough for me and were extremely accommodating and helpful in every way. Location is extremely tranquil and peaceful, especially over looking Arusha National Park from the tower. Rooms are a good size.

Cons: The internet only worked in the breakfast area and not in the rooms. Location was difficult to get to and out again. Additionally, the time of year that I travelled there was cold as was up in the mountains next to the rainforest. I’m sure it’s great at other times of the year when the pool can be used as it’s warm enough. The shower ran low on hot water as it was solar powered when we had rainy days.

Lush beautiful Lodge with such a friendly atmosphere

Pros: Where should I start to praise this beautiful paradise spot on the border of Arusha national park? Lovely friendly staff Lovely friendly owner (half German/half Tanzanian) Possibility to go on walks in neigbouring forest and area with an enthousiastic guide who takes pride in his work and culture Possibility to book Safari Creatively build Lodge with eye for detail The best hot shower ever 😊 Cosy bungalows African style decorated Neatly kept garden and property where you can wander around Organic freshly made food (Early order because they get everything from local suppliers) Nice tiny swimming pool A watchtower from which you can overlook Arusha park area and Mount Meru and have a β€˜chill and drink’ And of course our furry friend Pamba πŸ’–πŸΆπŸ’– We felt very much at home and would have loved to stay a bit longer!! Guess we have to come back πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€— Asante πŸ’— Anja and Marilyn

Pros: The location of the lodge is exellent if You are coming or going to Kilimanjaro airport. It is half way to Arusha and not far from the main road. The surrounding area is naturally beautiful, birds are singing and butterflys fling. We saw squirrels and the monkeys with blue balls on the territory. We spent half of the day in the tower, we didn`t see any animals, but it was still very enjoable. Meals were delicious and reasonably priced.

Cons: Some moskitos outside because the lodge is in the forested area. But its nature.
