Can highly recommend

Pros: We truly enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s Homestay. Sophie and her team are wonderful hosts — from the very first moment we felt genuinely welcomed, appreciated, and completely at home. It’s definitely worth staying more than just one night, as the atmosphere and hospitality make you want to slow down and enjoy the place. Sophie is also very helpful in organizing additional day trips and giving great local advice. The homestay is located in a beautiful and very safe neighborhood, and on clear days you can even see Mount Kilimanjaro, which is absolutely special. The shared dinners were delicious and full of warmth, and we really appreciated how carefully they considered all of our allergies. The rooms were clean and well kept, with very comfortable beds. Overall, a truly memorable stay that we would highly recommend.

Pros: Sophie and her family are so incredibly welcoming and friendly. The place is fantastic with a very nice terrace where you even have the Kilimanjaro in sight. Don't miss the chance of cooking together. Sophie is your mother in Tanzania.

I enjoyed it !

Pros: At the end of a two-week safari, I spent two wonderful and heartfelt days at Sophie Homestay. The family is very warm and welcoming. Through Sophie, I learned a lot about modern Africa. I especially enjoyed the cooking class — now I can invite my friends to a photo evening and serve the African national dish, Palau.

Pros: I had an amazing and unforgettable time with Sophie and her family. I was impressed by the hospitality and loved the wonderful family atmosphere there. I will definitely come back. Thanks Sophie for making me feel home on my first day in Tansania.

Pros: The place was quiet with all kinds of birds in the garden. It is tastefully decorated with comfy corners to relax. And Sophie is a superb host!

Cons: I liked everything about the place

Pros: Sophie and her team were such heartwarming people. They made our stay unforgettable. They cooked delicious food and all in all we felt like we found a new home in Moshi where we felt extremely comfortable and respected. Also talking with Sophie on the veranda was always a blessing and gave interesting insights in her life but also in the Tanzanian culture. If you visit Moshi this should be your place to stay.

Unforgettable

Pros: Great time spent in Sophie's Homestay. They treated us like their own family. Special mention to Simon and JJ! We had the most delicious fruit for breakfast and her recommendations were top notch, really a great experience to live the kindness and good vibe of Tanzanian people. Highly recommended!
