Meru Villa Arusha

It was the best experience in Arusha!

Pros: The villa is incredibly cozy, with a stylish interior and beautiful wall paintings — it really feels like home. It offers not just everything for a comfortable stay, but even more. There’s also a kitchen, so you can cook for yourself, which was a big advantage. I especially enjoyed having tea on the terraces (both on the ground floor and the first floor — absolutely loved it!) while planning my day. Many thanks to Zuberi and Meru Villa for the warm hospitality! As he always said, “Meru Villa is your home in Arusha” — and we truly felt that. We even extended our stay much longer than originally planned. Special thanks to Ali — our new friend. He was incredibly polite and kind, made delicious breakfasts for us, and on the last day prepared traditional local dishes 🥹 His kindness touched me deeply. And also I was glad to meet another girl, who worked here. We cooked local food with her and had warm conversations.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The gardens are really amazing and attention from staff was just great, specially Zuberi, who was answering all our questions about the location, always willing to help with our doubts. The place is clean and our stay was all we wanted. Thank you for the great time Zuberi

villa in a beautiful setting

Pros: The accommodation is nice and very clean. It has beautiful views of Mount Meru and a beautiful garden. All the staff, especially Zuberi, worry every moment that you do not lack anything. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. If I go back to Arusha I will book again without hesitation

feeling like home in the nature of arusha

Pros: If you like to stay a bit outside of the city center it is a calm place in the nature! Bit compound, where you can also stay in the garden, do your laundry (clothesline is available) or just sit outside and enjoy the sun… The house is very beautiful and has its charme - there is a balcony and you can use the dining room and living room anytime and also the kitchen for preparing food in case you want to buy some stuff at the market nearby and prepare your own food. Good breakfast (eggs, pancakes, peanutbutter, marmalade, bread, fruits, coffee and tea,…) is provided in the morning and the stuff is very caring and friendly! Everyone tried to make our stay very comfortable and we felt kind of home there!

Cons: a little bit far from the center of arusha (about half an hour with the dalladalla and then 20 minutes walk) and especially during rainy season not so easy to reach by public, but if you are planning to continue for safari to the nationalpark it is good located!

Pros: nice place with good vibes - friendly and very helpful stuff, uncomplicated communication - clean rooms with hot water in the bathrooms, also mosquitonets are there - the kitchen is free to use for cooking - downstairs is a place where you can chill, also on the balcony - there is a garden outside and the surrounding is very peaceful and calm, close to Mount Meru - breakfast is different every day and delicious with some fruits

Cons: the place is a little bit far from Arusha town, but it is manageable to go there by Dalla Dalla (public taxi) in around 35 minutes or private taxi, then you are faster - if you want to buy something to cook you have to do it at the junction to the main road at Ngaramtoni market

Pros: New renovated villa in the middle of an authentic African village near Arusha. The place gives some hostel vibes as there is a kitchen where you can cook and also a fridge a pantry where you can store some food. The stuff is very friendly and always happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: You need a lift to Arusha town. It is too far to walk. But the owner is happy to drive you when it is possible for him to manage.

Lovely, peaceful, and relaxing

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Meru Villa. The staff was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. They made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I especially enjoyed sitting in the garden, it was a very peaceful place and great for unwinding.

Pros: Einfach absolut alles. Diese Unterkunft ist nicht zu übertreffen. Sauber, wundervoll eingerichtet, freundlichste Besitzer, ruhig, liebevoll und vieles mehr. Bei diesem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gibt es nichts besseres. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Danke an Ally für die Aufmerksamkeit und das tolle Essen vom Local Corner. Dazu noch ein Balkon und Aussicht. Absolut unschlagbar.
