Super nice

Pros: The place was lovely, cozy, and beautiful and with the sweetest hosts and staff, my girlfriend and I felt very welcome there.

A homely feeling.

Pros: A nice friendly place to stay if you prefer more of a personal experience. Room was clean, practical and comfortable. Loved the garden area with the pool and lights in the evenings. I stayed before and after my safari and was able to store a bag at the property whilst on safari.

Cons: The bedroom and bathroom are quite small but totally fine for a solo traveler.

Recommended relaxed stay in Arusha

Pros: We immediately felt very welcome at Stasumo House Arusha because of the incredible hospitality of Marley and Isaya. We liked the conversations about life in Tanzania. The garden is a perfect place to relax or play some games, and our room with large bed was very comfortable. The food prepared by Marley was very, very tasty (vegetarian possible)! We really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it!

Cons: The water pressure in the shower could be improved.

Unrivalled hospitality in a calm little oasis.

Pros: Marley & Isaya absolutely excelled & made our stay tremendous. It felt like staying with friends. They are so friendly & kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Love the calm, relaxed atmosphere. The two dogs are great hosts too. We would jump at the chance to return.

Cons: The shower was a bit problematic but the warm welcome & 5 star hospitality more than made up for a dodgy shower.

A very chilled, relaxing space in a great location.

Pros: A beautiful, calm oasis in the craziness that is Arusha. Very relaxing and a great place prepare for a trip or recover from one! Cecile, Marley and Isaya are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Getting picked up from the airport by Marley made getting there a breeze, and it was a great way to be introduced to the city. The house and garden are very tidy and nicely set up. Love all the decors inside, especially Cecile’s basket collection! Lots of great spaces inside and out to relax and chill. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire at night chatting. And Cecile’s meals —Dutch-Tanzanian ‘fusion’ — were amazing. It’s also a great location for getting to and from safari rentals, shops and local markets. Everything is a short tuk tuk ride away! Highly recommended.

Definitely stay here if you are visiting Arusha

Pros: We had a lovely night at Stasumo house - the place was comfy, clean and a lot of thought had gone into small details. The swimming pool, bar and campfire were super, and we had a lovely meal cooked by Isawa (who also acted as bar tender, cleaner and house keeper!) Cecile and Marley were really friendly - and were very accommodating when our flight was moved early and we caused havoc with our miscommunication. Isawa was up very early to cook us breakfast before we left - and we were very grateful. Would 100% recommend - I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Arusha.

Cons: The water pressure in the shower is not great - however the shower is warm so we still had lovely showers.

Amazing warm home

Pros: It was absolutely fantastic. Cecile is the owner, and she's truly fantastic. She's from the Netherlands, so we could speak Dutch with her. But apart from that, she's someone who's very passionate about running her B&B. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. I was traveling with my 9-year-old son, and he didn't want to leave or stay much longer. We were unprepared, and she arranged a fantastic safari for us last minute. We'll definitely be back! Cecile, we love you!
