Great value for money

Pros: Lovely staff, breakfast included. Lots of information provided by staff in the reception area and also a booklet in the room. Helped us organise airport transfers.

Cons: Bit of a walk to some restaurants we wanted to try but still walkable.

Great value for money, comfortable accommodation

Pros: Pretty central location, you can walk to restaurants and the main street. Staff were so lovely, made us breakfast early in the morning before we headed off for safari. Bed was big and comfortable! Super spacious private room with huge bathroom. Wifi in rooms. Staff helped arrange airport transfers and stored our luggage for us while we were on safari.

Cons: Unable to pay with card for the accommodation and airport transfers, so we used up a lot of the cash we had.

Cheap and cheerful

Pros: Staff are really helpful, and the breakfast was really good!

Cons: It's quite echoey, where noise tends to echo through the whole building but other than that all good!

Pros: Stayed for one night, nice quiet location, very comfortable bed and not far from centre. The manager even gave us a lift to centre which was a nice touch. Lovely breakfast and helpful staff.

Pros: The staff was really good and helpful and the place was clean and very good for the price. Clean and big washroom. Breakfast was decent. Just 4 min drive from clock tower.

Cons: The location is bit tricky for the first time. But once you figure out nothing to worry about.

Pros: This place is a gem! I came with a friend for two nights and we enjoyed the big room with the private bathroom. The next day my friend left, and I met some great people at the hostel so I stayed for another night at a room with a shared bathroom. The owner, David, is really nice and welcoming, and we spent a whole 3 hours talking at breakfast. A lot of interesting people stop by at the hostel so you get to meet good people. The breakfast is plain but good: they offer to make you eggs of your choice, they have hot water on the table, some spreads, coffee & tea, fresh bread. The place is located about 20 minutes by walk from the clock tower, and like 5 minutes in tuktuk. I enjoyed my stay very much and I will return in the future! Highly suggested!

Excellent value for money

Pros: This place is perfect. Excellent value for money and a short walk to the Clock Tower (Arusha centre). Good clean rooms, a simple yet tasty breakfast and friendly staff. Would recommend for a short break either before or after safari.

Lovely small hostel in a quiet area with friendly hosts

Pros: The location is quiet, slightly away from the main centre of town which is good for a relaxed stay. The living area is nice and the kitchen has everything you need. Breakfast is good, I enjoyed getting eggs each morning in whatever form I wanted! David and Yoseph were really friendly and helpful, helping me arrange a guide, tuk tuks and ordering a pizza on request.

Cons: Travelling solo as a young woman is difficult in Arusha and walking to the property from the town centre is not the most comfortable. However, David and Yoseph were happy to accommodate ordering a tuk tuk or arranging a guide to pick me up and I enjoyed having a quieter stay. If you are solo, make sure to request help and maybe order dinner for delivery or cook/ pick up a takeaway earlier in the day.

Waka Waka

Pros: A very peaceful place, staff very helpful and kind, room cleaned. We are happy of our choice. Highly recommended.
