Pleasant setting in large garden with nice pool

Pros: Pleasant setting in a wide garden (we received a bungalow upon request, that was further away from the a bit noisy street that is seperated through a higher wall from the setting). Pool pleasant and garden nice for setting. Bungalow large. Good breakfast buffet.

Great Arusha base for before and after a safari

Pros: Planet Lodge is super convenient, being on the outskirts of Arusha centre, on the Kilimanjaro side. It takes about an hour to get there from the airport. The staff were extremely welcoming and very happy to help. I stayed the day before embarking on my safari, and for two nights after the safari. The hotel is very quiet, and felt very safe. The bedrooms are nice and meet all your needs. Having a pool is a plus (although it was quite cold), and the food was generally very good.

Cons: While the accommodation itself wasn't expensive, and I thought that the room was worth the money paid, the lodge does try to eek money out from you in other ways... The main way it does so is through the food. Given the fare offered, I felt that the food was overpriced (the lodge definitely make the most of you being a captive audience, as it is not easy to just walk elsewhere). This is especially true for dinner, for which there is a flat rate of USD 25. It is standard buffet food and, while nice, nothing special to justify that price.

Very nice and comfortable lodge with excellent food!

Pros: In the course of time, I have tried many lodges in Arusha, and Planet Lodge is my favourite place giving a very good value proposition. Lovely and caring staff, very good food both in breakfast and dinner, nice pool and restaurant/bar outlay. Lodges in the nice and well kept gardens are comfy, spacious and clean. In short, a very good place to stay.

Cons: it’s a bit off so a little ride to Arusha, also there where some construction works going on but I am sure they will be done soon :)

Excellent stay in Arusha

Pros: Staff were very friendly, we had a deluxe room that was vast and very comfortable, all food was excellent and the massage i had was excellent.

Cons: My only complaint would be the cockerel alarm call

Pros: The staff, my room, the garden, buffet meals were very good

Cons: I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room.

Short stay but very pleasant. Good place to stay outside Arusha centre between JRO and safaris

very calm and cosy lodge

Pros: we like the rooms and the outside garden, moreover the lodge ambience is quite and we felt tranquil during our stay.

Cons: the food, especially no variety and food quality wasnt acceptable most of bakery isnt good.
