Pros: The location is in a beautiful , natural setting just away from the main road, however close enough to walk to town for shopping. The house is spacious and offered all we needed for a self sufficient stay. Avocados fall from the garden tree, and the Hondo Hondo birds and monkeys were a joy to watch in the early evening.

Cons: The cleaner isn’t very thorough. The kitchen could do with a deeper clean, with a few simple items renewed and old ones discarded. Another saucepan would be useful. Likewise, the showers just need a few simple repairs with adjustments to hot water system, which is rather erratic.

So well priced and located, for Lake Manyara especially.

Pros: Excellent value for money and location. Layout of the house makes for a great experience, farm has a super vibe with an airy upstairs balcony overlooking the bananas.

Cons: Just 1 fan for 3 bedrooms and it was pretty warm. Battled with hot water upstairs like most of our accommodations on the trip.

Excellent value-for money and lots of room for a relaxing stay. Great location for safaris.

Pros: Spacious house in a great location for visiting several national parks. The facilities are basic but provide everything you need to self-cater with friendly assistance from the host who lives next door. They can arrange to do your washing or have meals cooked for you if required. All in all highly recommended for families or groups travelling independently and looking for authentic, value-for-money accommodation with plenty of outside space.

Cons: Nothing! The electric went off at points but that's a Tanzania issue not a the fault of the house.

Afrika, Gastfreundlichkeit, leckeres Frühstück, Abgeschiedenheit

Pros: Das lokale Gefühl in Afrika zu sein, direkt in einer ursprünglichen Siedlung, die es wert ist, in einem Spaziergang erkundet zu werden. Natürlich muss man auch das leckere Frühstück erwähnen :)

Cons: Wir haben viel Afrikaerfahrung, daher war alles wie erwartet.

Pros: Man wohnt bei Mama Kiri inmitten einer herrlichen Bananenplantage. Das Haus wird liebevoll geführt. Zu Fuß ist man schnell im Zentrum von Mto wa Mbu. Abends kann man auf der großen Veranda entspannen. Mama Kiri kocht auch auf Wunsch für die Gäste. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Great place, fabulous location, wonderful house set up for 3 to 5 people.

Pros: GREAT PLACE. In the middle of a Banana Plantation. We happened upon this place as we needed to change our original plan at other close place NatureHaven, (No Electricity, Barking dogs all night, Chickens form 4am On. Don't staty there) BUT Hondo Hondo was great for us. 3 bedrooms, one with a bathroom in the room. 3 people traveling with a Driver and Chef. Great 2nd story eating area. Great location in very quiet neighborhood. Price was fantastic.

Cons: One fan in one bedroom. Need fans in all. Very hot. We rented a few but should not have had to do that. Or screens on windows. WE had a great experience here.

Pros: Het is een super gezellig huis! Heel ruim, proper en super vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen! We voelden ons meteen welkom.

Cons: Er was geen wegaanduiding waar het Hond Hondo House precies was waardoor het moeilijk te vinden is. Gelukkig konden de mensen die er in de buurt wonen ons helpen.
