Elephant lodge

Pros: A wonderful stay. Eco-friendly lodge. With excellent 5-star service. Elephants 5 meters from the restaurant. They peek into the bathroom. Something wonderful.

Pros: The most beautiful place I've ever been. We spent three days there in a group of eight, including children, and we were all delighted. The service was incredibly friendly, the food delicious, and the views were breathtaking. The sounds of animals and birds accompanied us at night and in the morning. During dinner, we were joined by zebras, mongooses, and elephants visiting the watering hole.. The terraces were beautifully decorated, with hanging sofas. You could watch and listen to the animals. The buggy ride to the lake was fantastic. Hundreds of flamingos, as well as zebras and gazelles, greeted us overhead. The hot air balloon ride was enchanting. Warmest regards to Maria and Lilien... It was magical.

Exceptional Safari experience!

Pros: Lovely people. They really wanted us to have a good time. Nothing was too much Animals coming to the water hole and the impact of that was eye opening

Cons: Rooms were very hot - this is natural when staying in what is effectively a shipping container. My family were scared of some of the insects. Im not what sure what can be done about that, but it was the only issue we faced.

Pros: Extremely close proximity to the Tarangire park gates. The food was phenomenal! The staff were absolutely fabulous! The ability to sit having a meal or a sim and also watch the wildlife visitors to the hotel waterhole is a once in a lifetime experience! If you love watching elephants up close in the wild you have to sray here!

Nice place to visit

Pros: We had a great welcoming from an Elephant right there in front of the pool. It’s a nice place very closed to the gate. They have a water well, so you can always see elephants coming to drink, as well as zebras, impalas, etc. The dinner was great and the service is good, all are very friendly. We wanted to try something different then the common tends, sleeping in the tends has his own charm, but also this eco modern lodges are nice.

Cons: There was just an information missing regarding the extra fees to pay of 30$ per person, this fees are for TIWA. We had a good time anyway so it’s ok. However maybe some clients would like to know that in advance, not after booking, so this not a complain just information.

Amazing stay.

Pros: A friendly and warm welcome when we arrived, shown to our lodge which was amazing, spacious and clean. As if on queue the elephants arrived at the waterhole in front of the lodge main area while we were having a swim after a hot and wonderful game drive in the Tarangeri national park.

Cons: There was no sign from the main road (A104) from Sangaiwe.

Beautiful place with some room for improvement

Pros: Wonderful location with elephants and other animals visiting each day. The staff was exceptional and we had a magnificent safari with our guide Innocent who was very knowledgeable and showed us one of the most amazing places we have ever seen inside Tarangire! The containers are providing loads of privacy which we loved. The pool area and bar were quite nice to relax at after a long day on safari. The experience is definitely worth visiting the place for a day or two.

Cons: It was our last stop and we had experienced Tanzanian food for a couple of weeks. The food at the lodge wasn’t bad but it was not outstanding either especially breakfast could be improved. Given the money they charge it was overpriced. We also had a bit of trouble with the previously agreed upon price for the safari being increased on our final bill on departure day. We settled somewhere in the middle however this wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Please be aware that the lodge is located in a wildlife management area, especially since some rental cars are not allowed to enter these areas and we did not pass a gate or anything that would have made it clear that we enter said area.

Lovely stay for a calm and relaxing safari trip!

Pros: The property is very nice and lovely. The concept of their rooms is very original and quite unique for safari lodges. Animals are free to walk around the property and we really enjoy the experience of having different wildlife around.

Cons: The rooms are not equipped with WiFi, and service for data is extremely poor and limited.

Beautiful stay at a beautiful place.

Pros: The food was delicious and the Staff absolutely amazing. We had visitors (Elephants) every night at the waterhole directly at the dining area, that was really magical. All in all the perfect ending for our trip in Tanzania. I highly recommend it!

Exceptional

Pros: We enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. Best part was having elephants walk by every evening

Cons: I might have missed, but it wasn't clear that the property was outside the park (we thought it was within the park). But this didn't really bother us especially since the entrance gate was 5min away. Just a thing to note though.
