First Point Arusha Hostel

Pros: Funky place with a great host. Outside grounds and sitting area are really charming. Rooftop is good for views and photos. Meals were fresh and delicious.

Cons: Unreliable wifi Not really walking distance to town centre The window coverings let too much light into the room at night

Pros: Super nice spot nearby the river Good vibe and amazing sunset from the roof

Cons: A bit noisy in the morning because of the school

Great place to stay in Arusha.

Pros: Great atmosphere. Secure location. Accommodating hosts. We went on a safari after our stay here and Johnson went out of his way and kept our suitcases in the hotel during our safari. There was a place to do laundry and dry clothes on the rooftop. Other visitors staying at the hostel were super nice and respectful too. Around 15 min walk to Arusha centre too so easy access.

Cons: Not an issue for us, but there was no air con so be aware if this is something you require. Maybe they would’ve offered an electric fan, but we didn’t need it so didn’t ask.

Pros: Nice and very cheap place where you can relax and meet interesting people. 😊

Pros: Everything was very romantic, just like in my youth, when I dreamed of hippie camps. The hosts were welcoming and ready to help with anything or offer advice. The owner personally drove us to the airport in his own car. Highly recommended.

Pros: The staff is always ready to help you. The facilities are amazing, very close to the river and you can feel closer to nature with chill vibes, but not far from the city. The breakfast was amazing and the dog is a good friend. Everything for a good price. I recommend it !

Pros: The stuff was so welcoming (Johnson) he helped me with arrangements of safari and I stayed more days at the hostel because is a great vibe there, I will definitely come back here when am in Arusha, thank you so for the hospitality

I enjoyed a lot my stay at Arusha First Point and I’ll definitely stay there again if I’m back to Arusha.

Pros: The hostel is very homey and with a lot of outdoor space, it is very nice to hang out there. The rooms are very spacious and we can use the kitchen if needed. Johnson was very welcoming and helpful.

Pros: Super nice Hostel with a great vibe. The owner is suuuuper nice and helpful! We just loved the energy there! It's a short walk from city center on a nice plot of land with a cute garden for chilling.
